I have a '95 acura integra wich is an automatic.  The alarm/remote start that I have is called the nitro 2-way fm car alarm with lcd status.  I have all the wires hooked up except this wire that says "Alternator (when successfully starting, positive power is output)" I don't know where I'm suppose to install this wire? I did try to remote start this and it did not remote start but I could hear brain ticking and it trying to start.  Please help me diagnose the problem.  I went over all the connections and all are good connections.

Sounds to me like a tach input.

Tachometer blue  ac  distributor
Notes: Also found in a 16 pin white or gray plug to the left of the fuse box.

Is there a way for me to make sure? I don't want to damage the tach wire?

Use your DMM and test the wire. Look on the drivers side fender under the hood neer the firewall. There should be (I believe) a little plug zip tied, or taped to another harness. It has a rubber cap on it. It has 1 lonely blue wire in it. THAT'S the tach wire.

LOL! I've tried to help a couple other people with this Ebay/Internet unit "Nitro BMW r/s" ...

I could never figure out what that alternator wire was supposed to go to .. I always assumed it was the tach wire

if im not mistaken you can do that on compustars where you have a tach input or a alternator input.  On the compustar manual it tells you that you can connect your wire to a alternator wire just that i actually forgot what wire exactly but i know its at the actual alternator.
