autopage rs860, '93 nissan 240sx

I've got an Autopage Rs 860 I just installeed in my '93 nissan 240 sx. I've got a few leftover aux outputs and I'd like to use one of them to turn on/off the headlights. I can figure out how to turn the headlights on by using the aux out and a relay but I can't figure out how to use the same button/channel to shut the lights off should I desire. Is there a way for me to do this. I hope so as I'd hate to waste another aux out just to turn them off (I prob would just scratch the whole idea). Can someone, anyone,  please help me here? I've got a Autopage RS860 I just installed into my '93 Nissan 240sx. Everything's fine except one thing. I want to replace the red led with a super bright blue one and add three more of them. So here's what I've done. I've got the proper resistors etc and have two strings of twoi wired in parrelel. To power them I'm using a relay with pin 30 sending out to the two strings of lights, pin 85 going to ground, Pin 87  to 12v constant. Now I want them all triggered by the alarms original led wire(s) which are one red & one black. Assuming the red hot and the black is ground I wired accordingly, running the red to pin 86 on the relay and running the black to pin 85. But that doesn't work. When I do that the led's light up and just stay lit. What am I doing wrong???? Every time I try a different config I seem to be blowing the alarm's fuse. I know I'm close I could just really use some expert advice. Thanks in advance guys. -Glyph

Buy a DEI 629R scanner LED kit. It's triggered via the starter kill. A no brainer.Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
