Is it an aftermarket alarm, or some sort of factory option?

And when it "comes on and goes off," do you mean the engine actually starts or just electrical things?

If you are hitting the lock button on the door, before you shut it, then it is probably the factory alarm. The only ways around that would be to purchase a factory tx, but i would recommend buying a aftermarket system, and if hooked up properly would disarm the factory system on unlock. As init, i'm confused what you mean when you say "comes on and goes off."
