directed 103t?

Hello everyone, I usually find my answers from doing a search, but I did not find the answer to this simple question. Maybe you can help, I want to install the Hornet 564T on my car and want to add the Directed 103T starter kill keypad with it. My question is if I install it not as a stand alone, but with the alarm will I still be able to remote start the car? or will the code have to be entered first? Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

That'll work fine, as long as it's wired properly. When you go to install the starter kill (the 103 or sny other kind; doesn't matter), you'll be cutting the car's starter wire in half. After you've cut it in half......... we call the two halves the "key side" and "engine side," hopefully that is clear enough. Anyway, the starter output from the remote starter MUST be connected on the "engine side" of the wire that you cut. This side of the wire has no anti-theft or anti-start protection; ONLY the "key side" does.
