Any of you guys ever do an alarm with a key in the fender? Back then a "high tech" alarm was a passive system that shut off when you turned the ignition key to the on position..
I miss those days, when the customer came and asked you a question and trusted your response.
Also no T-taps, not butt connectors and no soldering..just tape it up and collect your $500.00..

And in the UK ours had pendulums which triggered off every time a truck went within 100 yards but the villains could jump all over it and still not trigger?old school alarms -- posted image.

Mind you one of those long gone manufacturers made an adjustable plastic pin switch that still 30yrs on hasn't been bettered even by Harrison.

Yep, i did hundreds of them. The big trick was to keep the keyswitch far enough away from a light or something that you couldn't just unscrew it and cut the wires. Most were a big siren that looked like something off a 50's ambulance.
