My buddy's uncle has a 06 Chevy Malibu and he asked me if it would be possible to add a siren to the alarm system. His OEM alarm system already have keyless entry and remote start so he dont want to get another alarm but he dosen't like the generic pulseing horn honk from the alarm system. Have anyone ever done this before? I search but didn't come up with any useful results

Would it bother him (or the police) if he could also hear the siren when he honks the car horn?

You could just connect the siren in parallel with the factory horn. When the alarm sounds the horn, it'll sound the siren too.

If you don't want to hear the siren when you blow the horn, you could connect a relay, so that the siren is disconnected with the car's ignition on.

That's a good idea but I believe the factory alarm send a pulse signal to the horn.. I believe the siren needs a constant signal.. is there a way to change the pulse signal to a constant?

Do the lights flash when the factory alarm goes off? Do they flash at the same time as the horn, or do they flash opposite of the horn?

I see what you're hinting at but they flash at the same time as the horn, it would be great if they alternated.
