crimestopper vs hornet vs viper, which 1?

As much as I'd like to get a compustar, those are a bit much so I have narrowed it down to 3 systems. Hornet 745t $250 Crimestopper 2016 dpII fm $220 Viper 5900 $350 Those are the prices of them all including installation. I like the viper 5900 but I'm not sure what good a 1 mile range does, not like I can get to the car in time to do anything. Whats the range of the hornet and the crimestopper?

$350 installated????Wow, the only reason why I would recommend the 5900 is because you would get amazing response from a close distance which is well worth it.  I rather have extra range then a lack of range.  The hornet systems have 1000ft range and I dont know about the crimestopper unit.  But still, 350 installer???where?

of that list the viper. Are these installed prices, If so wonder where they are cutting the corners?

Its not that theyre cutting corners, I'm getting a good deal on the price of the actual alarm through a favor but I still have to pay the install charges. and I'm not paying for the remote start install charges, I dont need it. I have been considering doing the install myself, which is a post thats coming up next.

Youre right, thats why I figured might as well just go for the 5900. My debate now is wether or not I should do the install myself. That would save me a good chunk of $$ I can put towards the sensors I want to add.
