Hi all

I am looking for a remote start diagram for this 87-88 chev 1/2 ton pick up. I found the basic alarm diagram but am wondering about the tach hookup and if anything is required for the transmission bypass?

It's an auto trans, or manual?

What type of unit are you installing?

Doesn't this thing NOT have a clutch safty switch. (It will start in gear) ? 88 chevrolet pickup remote start -- posted image.

This vehicle has an automatic transmission.

I have the compustar 3000 remote start to install.

This was the first year for fuel injection on these trucks.

There is no need to worry about that. Wire it up, learn the tach..... and go!
