new gps alarm

i was looking for a gps alarm update and i narrowed it down to two of them the clifford (gps 210c) and the viper gps( viper 210v) which of the two is the best. i like the viper but you all know better than  me so your expertise...1993 sdv

We don't get either over here (differences in GSM tuning frequencies etc) but I would guess they are the same product with different badges.

WRONG! They still have to tell where they are, that's the GPS, then tell YOU where they are, that's the cell-phone, via GPRS be it a SIM card GSM unit or a CDMA.

The viper unit and clifford unit are the same.

true GPRS be it a SIM card GSM unit or a CDMA tell where you are but cell phones also loose reception and have dead zones so if your car is taken to a area where there is a dead signal isnt your car not traceable? alo to add cell phones sometimes have the habit of dropping reception and regaining. i looken at gsm alarms but they are cheaper than satilite  alarms1993 sdv

Eric is right but then I already said that, yes you will get signal drop, even in London where I live, 5 networks three different antenna groups, the same system from  Dublin to Beijing and we still get dead spots, the difference being it uses GPRS (data) and the data error correction protocols make it harder than speech to loose signal. I haven't yet heard of "one that got away", even in tunels and underground car parks.

He's right but I live in the united states aned the cell phone conmpanies are crap. So yall don't have satilite alarms overseas?1993 sdv
