Hi All...
I just bought a used car and found that it has a Command Start sticker under the hood.
Well I checked under the dash and found the CPU, on the back it has a white sticker that says 2701 (box is black 8"X4" aprox)
What I would like to know is can I get a replacement remote and any manuals etc.
I live in Southern Ontario (Hamilton, Toronto, Mississuga areas)
TIA

your best bet would be from command start directly or maybe a smaller shop if possible. Don't bother with any big box stores cause in my experience it is not worth the time or hassle or money to order from them(I work for one so thats how I know)

To my knowledge Command Start is Out of Business, where can I get references to this remote or purchase a replacement remote.
"perly", your reply although helpful does not really assist in getting in touch with a company..... IMO
Again any assistance would be helpful
TIA

ok well I was unaware that finding the command start website was so difficult. Anyways they are not out of business to my knowledge since they supply the majority of the Best Buy remote starters still.
My new plan for you is actually to go talk to a big box store and try and get the contact info from them. I checked my command start install manuals and there is no contact info at all. I would get the info for you but I am currently on a "break" from the big box until Oct 27. All I know is that Command Start is aka Polarstart aka Astrostart aka Astroflex aka ..... there are numerous different names for the products which are essentially all the same. I wish that I could give you the info directly but right now it is out of my hands. Or as per usual you could probably find a remote off of Ebay though but it may be easier to talk to a local shop who might have them kicking around.

Right thanks!
I stand to be corrected on the unit when I stated 2701 what the actual model would be is CS270i....
So what I need to know is what remote transmitter would be compatible with this unit.
I have researched all of the sources and they all say nothing!
I have found this:

Here is a list of some of the units these transmitters worked on:
CS1400/1500/1600/1700/1800
CS2400/2500/3000
CS3000PLUS alarm/start combo
CS200 series CS240/250/260/260m/290 Some of these models may have had an I or C or IC after the model. It will work on these as well.[/quote]
Any hope here
TIA
