I have a Black Widow BW-10000 that was installed probably 6 years ago into a '90 Honda Accord. It has developed a fault in that when you disable the alarm, the ignition cut-out feature stays on.
It's an irregular fault, sometimes correcting after cycling through enable/disable a couple of times, other times leaving me pressing on-off for 30 minutes. Infuriating!
Does anyone know of a 'fix' for this, that doesn't involve removing the unit and employing a large lump hammer?
Thanks

Hi,
Go to the control module and there should be two brown wires on one end plugged in(these are the starter disable wires)Unplug these and join them together, try using the alarm the normal way and see if the car starts every time.
If it does, your internal starter disable relays are the problem and at this point, there is another ground output wire when armed(orange)which you can use with a relay. This would be better to use then to replace the module.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. I've looked inside the module and found the unit's a 10000-2 (whether that makes any difference). Main bank of wires = all black. Group of 6 wires, left to right = blue, white, orange, green, yellow, WHITE/ blue - the orange and the WHITE/ blue both with 15 amp fuses. To the left of the 6 is a pair, red and black.
Is it these last two you'd be expecting to be brown?
Cheers,
P.S. I'm a complete novice with things electronic, so please excuse any dopey questions I ask.
