97 Avenger ES

I am tryign to install an alphaguards 2 way alarm on my 97 avenger es, there are 2 wires one that goes to parking lights left and parkign lights right, i found the parking lights wire but it is for all of them, i was wondering if i could hook the wire up to the parking lights left ouput on the brain, and then hook the parkign lights right on the brain to the reverse lights. But i dont know if this will work and i also dont know what color the reverse lights wire is or where its located. Also i am having trouble hooking up the door locks i dont know how to do this at all or where the wires are located. I have power door looks with door sensors for floor illumination.

Hey Brian, you will only need one of the parking light wires to be hooked up to the central parking light circuit. YOu can tie the otherone up to the reverse light ( but WHY ??? ). I have included a wiring diagram for you that has all the necessary wires you will need in order to finish the installation ( including the door locks ):

Notes:

*1 Located behind the glove box in a harness. To unlock only the drivers door on models with keyless entry. Use BROWN / blue negative (-) trigger at the relays behind the radio.  *2 Found in a gray 20-pin connector.  *3 To avoid the dome light delay use RED / white (-) at the door open indicator at the instrument cluster. The RED / white will also catch the rear hatch.  *4 The PCM is located on the drivers side of the engine compartment or behind the center of the dash depending on motor.    *5 The data link connector is under the driver side dash.

Thanx, i got mostly everything installed today. I just need to know what color the wire is on a 97 avenger es for the reverse lights. Also i need to know what the wire the key on is??and where it is? Also where the brake harness is and where the trunk wire is. The last thing i need to know how to do is hook up the locking mechanism thing, there is like 8 wires and 6 of them have to go to certain things and what the actuator thing is for and all that.
