need additional door locks

Hey everyone, I have a 94 318I. And I'm really having issues even after reading lots of topics here. I've already looked at 5 threads covering the wiring and such for the 12 pin plug which controls the alarm in a non-alarm equipped BMW. But my problem is that I cant seem to located the "WHITE/ red" lock and the "blue/red" unlock wire on the 12 pin black plug. All I see is a heavy gauge "Red wire/white strip" and a light gauge "Red wire/blue strip". So are these the correct ones or do I need to follow the wiring for the UK models? Like in this thread

Hey I found the cables! omg they were just really deep in there, knowing pin 17 and 4 really helped. But I test them for grounding or 12V, and they don't seem to have anything. The door locks still work but there doesn't seem to make a pulse. So for wiring it, do I just directed splice the cables from the alarm box? Or do I need to make a double relay? thanks for your help.

Oh and BTW, I don't have the Stock Alarm, so if that helps in any way?

Make sure alarm will give a pos. pulse and you can extend that for win/close

The alarm is a 12V and 12V. They ground out one side. So i guess that means im required to dual relay to send a 12V pulse to one side at a time?

Thanks a lot Howie, I managed to get it to work after much stressing. For the record so people won't have to ask questions like my retarded questions, they can follow my example. For a 1994 BMW 318I (4 door without the stock alarm system) Mine is from the USA, but it follows the UK standards: - You must get the wires from the yellow plug behind the glove box. - Blue with red stripe = pin 17 - Unlock - Send 12V pulse - White with red stripe = pin 4 - Lock - Send 12V pulse - You are required to use the double relay setup, wired to send a momentary 12V pulse. DO NOT Ground it out while it isn't activated. And that is all, its really simple to wire. I just didn't understand the first time. Thanks again Howie!

You do realise that if you had a timed aux on that alarm you could set it for about 15 secs (if 4 door, 8 if 2 door ) to close your windows, apply it to the lock relay, also if your alarm has a timed  aux that turns on with arming again  via 2 1N4001 diodes to lock and unlock for 3 secs will deadlock vehicle.
