matrix rsx 3.5

I have a clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 2 way security.Hers my problem:I've been doing engine work on my car so I've been taking my battery wire off and on. Now its not working. When I press the open or close button, nothing happens. I can open the door but the alarm doesnt go off. Is there a problem with my alarm or is it my batter? I have no power in my car, no headlights, no radio. The batter is brand new.Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

This is back to basics, is your battery the right way round, use a dmm to check voltage? Are your terminals corroded, any main fuses blown?

well no fuses are blown. this problem just occured instantly. when i try to use the remote, nothing happens. when i press a button it just shows a blinking antenna with a beeping sound. is it common for clifford alarms to just make the whole car shut down. theres no power at all.. no head light or anything. could it be the connection with the batter? or does it really have to do with the clifford alarm?

Alarm cannot affect other circuits, eg acc, try your radio! No I think you're loking around the battery.2 incidents recently, BMW M6, probing with a test light (naughty!) in region of battery, bang and no starter, found I'd blown "something" in line on that lead. Corrected it, second, a C class rear end bodywork, the car's dead must be the fault of the (Clifford) alarm, like hell it was,where the battery is grounded in trunk, they'd painted over and used original bolt. I scraped away new paintwork, cleaned up threads on bolt and sprayed with a water retardent; perfect.
