I have my head unit hooked up as a starter kill. It seams to be working, except that I can turn off the truck unless I turn off or detach the face plate on the radio. When I turn off the key the igntion source is still getting power, but only enough to bairly light the test light. I have everything hooked up per the diagram and have checked many times and even changed relays, but I am still stuck. Any ideas. I am new to this stuff, so be nice. Thanks

If you could take a picture of the diagram, and post it, maybe we could help you.   I know I want to see a picture of that.

Why not a starter kill hooked up to the lighter or when you have right turn signal is when car will start? Maybe a pressure sensitive switch or something like that may be a better option.
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

You can substitute the switch with a number of others devices such as the amp turn on wire of your head unit. Be sure to isolate it with at least a 1 amp diode. Turn the key to the run position. Allow the head unit to come on or turn it on. Now start the vehicle. If you connected to the power antenna wire, make sure the tuner is on. If you have a pullout or detachable face head unit, your vehicle will not start without it.
