Diesel tach location
Then you need to find a wait to start wire that will not allow the remote start to start truck before the truck engine is ready.
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Thanks for that info... I was used to the ones that did and hadn't done a diesel in a few years.

The time it takes to enrgize the acc. and ign. wires is all the time the plugs need to heat up

Jump in it cold and crank it over. If there is a delay needed it's NOT much. 10 to 15 seconds MAX.

It's been awhile since I've been in an 08 ford diesel, but I think the wait to start is done via data, making it unusable for remote start purposes.

Depending on the unit you are using, many can be programmed to wait a certain period of time.
