I'm trying to understand when they are telling me what wires to tap into on the MICU, do I look behind the MICU or in front? This is for a '08 Honda Civic Si w/ Viper 5900 alarm.
Thanks!

I got just about everything except the hood pin and the 2 wires for the factory alarm re-arm/dis-arm. I tried ORANGE / brown on the harness, but neither of them showed changes while arming/disarming the vehicle.

Do you have any install history?

It would seem to me that you are lost? And thats ok, but......The reson for this comment is on the install manual there are indepth descriptions of what each wire is supposed to be connected too. Then YOU take that info and look at a tech sheet for the car, and find the corosponding wire that does what is described from the install manual.

Which supplier did you get your tech information from?  (directechs, wiremagic.....etc?)

I understand there is no better way to learn than to simply dive in.  Arm, look for it to pi=ulse negative when you turn the key in the door lock, same with disarm. Don't test with the factory transmitter, or the lock button on the door.

For the door trigger wires. You will just use one or the other. If your car is (-) use (-)trigger. IF (+) use (+) trigger. Cut the other wire you don't use.
Tach wire go directly to the fuel injector, no diodes or relays should be needed.
Relay sat ribbon, cut pink/white wire unless your car has a 2nd ignition, I don't think it does though.
relay ribbon cable 4 plug wires. You don't need the orange, violet, pink wires, just cut unless you add extra sensors ie motion, tilt, etc.
h4 dont need ORANGE / black wire cut it
door lock wires. You need to look on the tech sheet and see if the car is - or + then connect wires accordingly
h3 violet/white connect to tach, don't need a relay or diode. +brown goes to cars brake pedal(shuts down remote start when brake is pressed) again look on tech sheet for correct wire color.   Hoodpin wire, I used the actual hoodpin that came with my alarm. Run wire to it. Test the cars hoodpin wire to make sure its (-). mine didn't work so thats why I used the separate hoodpin. Blue/white can be used to run your rear defogger if you live somewhere cold. look at tech sheet.
h2 I didn't connect any of these wires on mine. If you have a factory alarm you need to connect fact. disarm and arm wires.
h1 RED / white is a trunk release, tag trunk release wires on car. brown goes to red siren wire, black goes to ground, not the 689m Ground it to the car under a factory bolt...just look for an existing ground and use that spot. violet or green + or - door triggers of car. blue is trunk trigger, BLACK/ white dome super use relay if you decide to hook it up, not necessary though. WHITE/ blue not used, white goes to parking lights. IF its + or - you have to change the jumper on the brain to the right polarity. orange dont use or just leave on tilt sensor.
Hope this helps you out. I just did a python 990 on my 07 mustang. this site helps out alot. Good luck
