According to the wiring diagram for the 2000-2001 Celica the door trigger  (-) is a RED / white wire in the driver side kick panel.  I have tried all of the RED / white wires in the kick panel and none of them are working properly.  Is this suppose to be a common door trigger wire or are blocking diodes required for each door pin?

I wasted my time trying to do the same thing.  I ended up piggy backing off of the actual switch.  It is not hard to get to.... Just Pull up the door guard and pop the side panel out and bingo there is your wire.  Even more frustrating is finding the yellow and black wire for the door lock in the BCM.  Good Luck.

Hi cachaffin, if you can not locate the common door trigger at the ECU in a 2 or 3 wire plug, you can catch the common (-) door trigger lead behind the driver's pillar going to the dome lamp or at the dome lamp itself.
