could it have already been programmed before? they are a one shot deal, once programmed they will never work in another vehicle.Shaughn Murley

the other thing is chrysler can lock transponder programming out, mostly done on fleet vehicle and rentals. something else to consider. I will always program those before I even start the remote starter install. my method is, key 1 on until security light goes out, key two on until light goes out and comes back on flashing. while waiting for that, I will have disassembled the first key so it's just the plastic, as well I will have the pellet energized. once the LED starts flashing, I will insert the first key, mount the pellet about where the origonal one would have sat, and turn the key on, wait until LED illuminates solid.Shaughn Murley

by pallet energized, do you mean the actual 555cw red and blue wires to power and ground?Kenny

i'll have to try that from now on. There is nothing worse than getting everything finished, tucked away and all set, then finding out that the chip wont program. Then you gotta completely undo everything and then change out the bypass.Kenny

I hate bypasses that are screwed up before you try to put them in. I did a new GMC Canyon and my boss gave me a xko6 with new firmware flashed. It wouldn't work. I tried another one made by Omega, same unit and same issue. I asked my boss if it mattered if what platform it was in mattered and he said no. I think he was wrong. So I wired up the two relays with resistor and diode method and it worked like a champ. I do say most work without much hassle but some, a tad frustrating.The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.

Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
