here is an interesting problem that i cant figure out

i have installed a starter (astro start 2504A)into the vehicle using  a relay to bypass passlock2

the vehicle starts but shuts down right away  the relay was  wired as follows

85 ground out while running

86 ignition

30 bcm side of yellow paskey wire

87 black wire of passkey

87a keyside of yellow passkey wire

i tried to  permanently bypass the passkey(for testing only) bcm side of yellow wire to resistor to black wire the vehicle starts with key but when started with starter it shuts down right away

the starter wires are connected pink for ignition orange for accesory red 12 volt(i have never connected the brown wire as it only powers the deck and wipers and if the wipers are left on it blows the passlock fuse so i do not connect it never had a problem with this method)

brake and park light are not connected (i cut these for testing after it did not start)

i am at a loss to explain this can anyone help

the security light stays on solid while starting with remote start

Inspect this website. http://www.designtech-intl.com/pdf/notes/note113.pdf
At the bottom it shows the appropriate method to integrate with Passlock 2 using a relay. You'll note some differences between your description and the diagram, most notably, that keyside yellow of the Passlock system is NOT used.
I would recommend you pickup and integration kit for the vehicle, there are many available. Regards.

you dont have a resistor value and trim pot to match the resistance needed. Like the post above, follow that diagram. and before u cut the yellow wire, make sure ur car is on and running !
