replacement blackjax switch need one

Hey guys! I have a Clifford alarm, and nearly since it was installed (years ago), the blackjax switch hasn't worked with a ****. I usually have to keep it in Valet mode, because I takes a while for it to accept the freakin' code. I've been meaning to attempt to replace the switch forever. I see where it disconnects easily, so if I had another, I could easily replace it. However, I don't know how I would go about finding a replacement switch. Could someone please point me in that direction? And maybe you guys can answer a couple of related questions. I think it would be a good idea for me to get a tilt sensor installed, since the rims were stolen off of my other car, and this one is sitting outside. How hard is it to install or to have someone install one of those? Thanks so much! Glad I found this place!

The switch you’re talking about is called a Plain View 2 switch. Its sells on EBay for about $12.00 shipped. Easy to unplug the old and plug in the new.

For the tilt sensor I use a DEI 507M (I think that is the model #) and it works flawlessly. The trick is to mount it horizontally on a flat surface or nothing more that 45 degrees. If you have an existing Clifford installed currently w/ maybe a shock or glass sensor you can tap into the wires. The 507M has three wires, blue - status, red - power, orange – ground when armed.  

I see, thanks a lot for the info! Also, it would be on a driveway with a fairly standard incline... will the tilt sensor be fine as long as it's not above 45 degrees or...?

Can you add sensors to a blackjax?

On a Clifford alarm system w/ blackjax, you can add the tilt sensor. On a stand-alone blackjax system I don't believe you can.

The 45 degree incline is not where the car is parked, it referring to the mounting location of the sensor. I usually mount under the dash on a piece of trim or HVAC duct. Try mounting temporarily first to make sure it likes the location and does not false, then use double sided tape. Make sure its mounted firm.

I see, thanks for the info! Where the brain of my alarm is, there is a good amount of space. I can probably wire it there, and just have it within a foot or so, since that is already well hidden... didn't think of that. Also, I don't know much about which to buy... do I need to buy a specific one? Can you either link me or tell me what I might search by to find them on eBay like you did before? Thanks again!
