LOL need to do a starter on a 07 vibe and im getting conflicting stories about transponder, audiovox doesnt list one needed, friend looked up on d.e.i. for me and they dont list an 07 stops at 06 he says and then here i found a schematic that says it has one, can anyone confirm whether it has transponder or not? thanks jim

well if it has a transponder the key will be stamped PK3 or with a + symbol. but i dont ever recall a vibe having a trans. key.

Looks like you need a universal bypass module for this vehicle. Loose a key to a box.

audiovox or transponder bypass doesnt list any transponder for this vehicle, and the few ive done i never needed a keybox.

Pontiac Vibe doesn't need a bypass, Toyota matrix Needs one in 2005 and up.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Bnluis is right.
The Vibe is a Corolla wagon (Matrix), but unlike the Toyotas, has no transponder.
No factory alarm either.
Don't forget to hook up your aftermarket unit's keyless and rear hatch release......the Toyota remote controls don't work when the remote starter is on.

thanks guys, that where i got confused as wiring on here said transponder which meant lose a kiey, but i know none of the 06 and prior vibes had one and as i said i was getting differentmixed results cause audiovox didnt list it, hell god like d.e.i.stops at 06 but the listing here said it had one, so thanks guys, and yea it sucks thatgotta do keyless or customer has to open car the old fashioned way when its running! LOl
but could be worse, could be like so many of these other new cars where they just keep throwing major curves at us trying to drive us aftermarket guys out of their cars, hell remember when all we had to dread was v.a.ts.? LOL now a car like thats a dream
