Okay, i got a 1994 honda accord and i tried to install a viper 350HV alarm into my car. I've got wiring diagrams and followed all the instructions ect.. the alarm is in, but it's not working all the way?.. the only thing it does is lock and unlock, and the only time i can trigger the alarm is if i open the door when it is armed.. if i try kicking the car or whatever nothing happens. ive tried playing with the sensitivity knob on the brain but no avail.

another problem is, that my valet button does not seem to be working, i get no response or chirps when i follow the instructions in the manual, and i can't even get it into valet mode.. when i arm the car it chirps once, pauses for 3 seconds, then chirps again.. i think that means something is wrong? not sure.. and when i arm the car, the blue LED blinks 5 fast times for a few times before it goes to blinking 1 time per second... i'm almost sure i have all the wires right, it locks and unlocks, the door triggers should be correct as well since when i open the door with it armed it triggers the alarm.. i`m not sure what else to do or how/what to check.. any input would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

When you lock the car and it chirps....then it chirps again, means your door is open. If its not open it means you have the wrong door trigger wire. The LED blinking 5 times fast  after you arm it means the door is open too. Check the wire you tapped into with a DMM and make sure its the right one.

Remember Wiring Diagrams are only a guide, not a blueprint. They can be wrong and can't show you "what green wire" they are talking about or whatever it may be. You need to test your wires before hooking them up.
