2004 infinity m45, remote start

any body know of an add on remotestart to the existing factory alarm  for this car and bypass that i need, any tip and tricks would help. thanxwell?

Your factory remotes will operate when the vehicle is remote started. If you are satisfied with the operating range of your factory remotes you could go with a DEI 561T. If you would like to be able to start the vehicle from farther away I would suggest either the Automate AM6.2 or the Audiovox/Code Alarm one button systems. According to bypasskit.com the only bypass module available for the 04 M45 is a key in a box type bypass. Take a look hereInstaller, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

With the 561t will I be able to program the factory remote to start the car,the kid just doesn't want 2 remotes on his keyring thanks 4 the help guys!well?

The way the 561T works is it looks for a number of pulses on it's activation input wire. When installing the 561T I hook the positive activation input wire to the positive lock leg of the door lock actuator. I program the unit to require 3 pulses to activate. When the owner hits lock 3 times the car will start. There are several DEI pieces that have this functionality, the Avital4100/Valet561R include remote controls and also offer the positive activation input. If you do one of these it allows you the option of expanding the unit at a later date if the owner finds the operating range of the factory remotes to be unacceptable.Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

In my experience, the pre-2005 M is the only Infiniti where the factory remotes do NOT work with the car running. The only bypass available is to remove the chip from inside one of the car's keys, and glue it into a regular key-in-the-box style bypass. The customer can retain the key to use as a keyless entry, but it won't start the car. Also, when remote started, it's not possible to turn the key to the "run" position to take over and drive away.......the customer will have to hit the brake, kill the motor, and re-start the car.

so even with  a complete aftermarket alarm remote start he will still have to restart the car?well that sucks.if he does. so what kind of key? any uncut key from a locksmith or does it have to be a infinity key?well?

You've got to tape apart one of his existing keys, and take the transponder chip out of it. After that, the keyless entry part will still work, but it won't start the car. Last time I checked, those special keys for the M are $282 list, plus the labor for programming, if he wants another key. I once saw an Infiniti dealer take a handful of different used Infiniti keys, try them at random, and eventually one of them had the right kind of chip inside and they got it to program.......but it's going to be difficult to find someone willing to try doing that.
