lights in the trunk

hey, i would like to put lights in the trunk like LEDs or something like that...i don't want to install the neon tube lights, cause i'm low on budget, i know i can afford LEDs, they're cheap, but how to install them, i have no clue, and i want to put ALOT of them inside my trunk too...PLEASE HELP!!!!

I would suggest that you check out these neon’s http://store.yahoo.com/mobile-emotions/neonlightrods.html they are affordable and will give you allot more light then multiple leds will and they are much easier to install.

yea bberman is absolutly correct, it take a lot of leds to provide light comparable to a neon tube, plus it would become a hassle to hook up all the LEDs and resistors.

If you still want to go with LEDs how many do you plan on installing?

alrighty then...i'll go with the tube thingy lolz i was gonna install like 50 12v LEDs though...but i assume these tube would be brighter..i just have to save up more money and stuff

If your really short on cash and dont mind taking the risk of installing something in your trunk that really wasnt meant for it, go to www.svc.com and pick up one of their 12" CCFL kits for 6 bucks with a couple bucks shipping.

They're meant for computers but you can hook them up in your car... Just make sure they're in a "protected" area that wont break or damage the thin acrylic around the actuall CCFL whenever you hit a pothole or "not see" a speed bump...lol

You might have to a do a little cutting and splicing to the inverter wires (12V input wires only!) since it's meant for a computer but that's no big deal...
