I'm wondering if anyone can tell me why the sunroof on my '99 Legacy stops at just about the halfway point when closing and I have to release the switch and press it again to finish closing the sunroof. Also, if it is a switch or a relay or something of that variety that causes it to stop, do you have any idea where it is so that I can remove it?

Anybody? Wow, this is the first question I've asked that hasn't been answered within a few hours. Hopefully someone can help me here.

TIA,

Erik

Sounds like you have some kind of sunroof module or there is a built in circuit breaker in the motor. if you have a lot of resistance, llike maybe the gear drive is not lubricated, then the module/cb is turning off because of excessive load.

Well, the sunroof has been this way from the day I bought the car. I'm pretty sure it's some sort of safety switch but since I don't know that for sure, I don't even know what to look for or where to look for it.
Thanks for the reply,
Erik
