Trunk Lift Struts, 2001 Civic

Hello, all! Greetings from Bakersfield, and I hope all have had a good and safe Christmas. On to my question: I have a 2001 Civic, and I am looking to remove the trunk lift springs that are included on all Honda cars, and I would like to replace them with pressurized gas filled shocks. I need to do this, because the 6X9's in the rear deck are flappin' in the wind from my sub. I need to remove them so I can install some kind of rear baffle for the 6 by's. What I am asking then, is "where can I buy the struts?" Any suggestions? This is not really urgent, as I really do not do *TOO* much ground pounding (yeah, right...) but a timely response would be appreciated.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. Their site contains actual pictures of each componenst which you can down load to varify the parts you require. I would suggest to you that you take a few moments to go down to one of the dealers and ask them to see and measure the struts you *think* will fit your application. Once you are happy with the length, then you can order on-line and save alot of money compared to the dealer cost. The same holds true, if you go to any other auto store, simply ask them to see and measure the struts and this will give you some idea of clearence you have to work with. Regards EVIL Teken . . .
