Does anyone know what type of engine this is? It's in an 1987 GMC 4x4 I think it is either a 400 or a 350, it had fuel injection but is now switched to a 650cfm holley carb. Any ideas?
Heres a pic.

I would say a 350, If I am not mistaken all the 4WD models came standard with a 350.

It is definately not a 400, that is a Ford engine. But if it isn't a 350, then i'm positive that it is a 305, which I also think became an option in the 90's, either the 305 or 350.

Chevrolet does make a 400 small block,Ford makes a 400 big block, I know it isn't a 305 (My block is to big for that), It just has a unbelivable amount of torque, way to much for a 350, even a hopped up 350.
