Hey guys....this is very "off topic" Ever since the huricane, the loss, and then return of the 12Volt site. My PC will not let me log on! I goto log on type my kartuneman and my password, hit enter......and it comes right back to the log on page (not logged on) Im sure its something simple that I probly screw with on my pc.....but I don't know where to look to fix the problem. I can log on on any other pc.....just not mine.

On my pc I have zone alarm fire wall, Norton system works....I have looked to those applications as being the problem.....but nothing has changed in those programs.

Thanks in advance for ANY suggestions and help

Delete your cookies as a start.

Cookies, and temporary internet files... XP hides 'em and it's tough to get them all, but get as many as possible this way - On your desktop, rt click the IE icon, select properties > Click the delete Cookies button, and corfirm (if asked) > Wait > Click the Delete Files button, and confirm (if asked) > Wait (longer) > Click OK.

After doing this, I HIGHLY recommend defragging your drive...

Also, get rid of that ZoneAlarm (free? why would you give away what people want?) and Norton crapola! That is all nothing but bloatware to slow your machine down and fill your drive... Go down to CompUSA and buy yourself a hardware router/firewall. Linksys makes a good one, and it's only about 60 dollars. (less, if you keep your eyes open for rebates, and the rebates are common!) I have also never gotten a virus or hacked behind one, either... A GOOD antivirus is Panda, but DO NOT BUY THE TITANIUM VERSION... Get the Platinum one... Still, turn off the (included, but optional) firewall during installation!

Worried about popups? Two words - Google Toolbar! Small, stable, available, configurable, and actually is useable! Yeah, I know, "free", but this one actually works, and there is no paid version of it...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
