I have been insalling for four and a half years now and make allright money. The only problem is my shop has problems giving me 40 hours a week. I really like who i work with and I can do everything ther but window tint. I can do everything from sunroof, leather, electrical, hitches etc. Now my problem is i got a job offer to do hvac . I have never done anything with that before but in 5 years i would make twice what i make now and in 10 it would be triple. I just looking to see what other people think. Caz i dont know if i want to start at the bottom again when Im pretty confident in my job now.

It's all what you feel comfortable with, but with great risk comes great reward.  Money is a big thing now-a-days too.  Why don't you get to know your potential boss and see how you like him/her?  You could also talk to your current employer about the situation.  Don't take my statement about risk to heart either.  Sometimes it comes and bites you in the butt.  The main thing though is that your happy because I've found that money can't buy that.

That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

Well my new boss would be one of my good friends dad who i know would be a great guy to work for. That is how I have this chance to work in the field. I've talked with my current boss and nothing ever seems to change. It has been a new owner for a year and a half and they refuse to do sales or to advertise. He also has another business which he spend more time with. I agree with money cant buy everything but it can take a lot of stress out of your life. I was just wondering what other people would do where this is a field that would always be needed and more new cars come with what we offer.

I would go get a carear in HVAC. Join a union, have benefits and a GOOD retirement. And move ANYWHERE, and have a job!
