Ive been a member here for a few years. I may not be the most frequent poster however I occasionally stop in to see whats going on and post my knowledge wherever I can help out. In recent months whenever I have posted a question in regards to any topic it has become next to impossible to get responses from anyone.
Whats going on here. Do I have to become a contributing member to get some responses? Do I have to post more? Whats the deal?

Hmmm, I just did a search for all of your topics and only found one that you created yesterday that has yet to receive a response. That's a pretty harsh conclusion to come to just for that, but if your intention was to get our attention, then I guess you succeeded. BTW, no, you do not have to make a contribution to participate or get responses as you already know.
Maybe in the future you could try being a little more positive when you bump your posts instead of assuming that no one wants to help you. The fact is this forum has a lot of new topics daily and even hourly and sometimes the members that can help you just cannot keep up with every post that's made, so when it happens, it's best to politely ask for help again in your topic that has yet to receive any replies.

Wirewise.
Please by no means am I trying to grab peoples attention or be harsh. I may have a little bit of a tainted opinion about how quickly responses should be coming in from the other forums that I frequent however when a post has 30 views and 0 responses it makes me wonder whats going on. This has seemed to have been the theme for a lot of my questions in recent history.
I apologize if I may not have been as "positive" as people would like. However like I said earlier it just seems like my posts are like the guy trying to hail a Taxi on a busy corner of New York City and every time he trys to call over the cab the Driver heads for 6' blonde with legs to match thats 10 feet down the road!

Sorry you feel that way, but to use your analogy, maybe you should show a little leg or break out a big smile :) I mean if you were driving that cab, who would you want to pick up?
Seriously though, you shouldn't let the number of views your topic gets before you get a reply make you feel that way. This site gets tons of traffic and there are just as many people, if not more, that are interested in learning than can help that are reading your topics. Again, if you don't get a reply right away, politely bump your topic by asking another question or even rephrasing it. As you can see from your previous topics, you do get replies, including this one ;)

Well thanks for the reply.
Trust me you don't want to see my legs! lol
Its understandable to see both sides of the screen. Perhaps I was Leaping to conclusions. I am sure everyone knows how it feels to be motivated about a project and want to jump on it right away. Only to be held up by one small thing.
Thank you for calming my nerves! ... I guess I should get back to work now!

Well I hope for those members that might consider doing that, that they think twice about it. It's understandable how Focusedonsound feels and I'm guessing he just wanted to vent, eh Focusedonsound?
And you're right Focusedonsound, I do not want to see your legs :p

KarTuneMan..
Thank you for you concern about not wanting me to get flamed for complaining about such a petty thing.

Yes I was just more or less venting. I kind of compare it to Installing a brand new Car stereo and when you go to hit the power nothing happens.
This website has been an incredible knowledge base for me and while as of lately I may have had a few problems I just needed to vent a bit.

Some of us old dogs are so busy in the shop that we unfortunately do not have time to pursue our favorite forum these days. It is 12:42 am and I got in from the shop about 20 minutes ago to start having a look see. I am having my busiest year in 10 years right now, overflowing with business and a total lack of employees to make things happen. So accept my apologies for not being there to answer your questions at the same time. As tired as I am these days, I am being a little choosy about the topics I do respond to so that my brain does not get any more fried than it already is. 16 - 18 hours a day, 7 days a week of car audio makes me one tired dude at the end of the day. I know that Jeff is in the same boat as I am, most of us are inundated with business right now. Just a little patience is all that is required or a PM if you need help is always welcome.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
