I am looking at buying one of these, its a 04 impreza wrx/sti with around 50k on it. The body is in decent shape. It seems to run decent. I am just wondering if there is anything specific I should check out on these? I have installed equipment on a couple but I have never really driven one except for a test drives. Any tips advice or information that you have about them would be great.

I think it would make a pretty kick a** shop car...........

If poss. Talk to the prior owner, or at least find out the age of the driver....I'm bettin that thing has seen it's share of redline on the tach, if the owner was YOUNG..... Have the car "checked out" by someone that knows these rocket ships.

I just got the previuos owners name from the dealer this morning. It was like pulling teeth to get it, it also had the age of guy, 19. Supposedly its dealer maintained. I called a guy last night that has 3 wrx's and is highly respected as an authority on subarus, I am going to drive it to his shop saturday to have him check it out. I may have to pass on it, I imagine parts are not cheap on this car...
