hey all.  i am building a custom panel in my 99 suburban to fit a few goodies in the dash and i have a quick question.  when i pulled the HVAC controller out, there were several tubes (vaccume tubes i know) attached to the back.  what i am wondering is is there anything special i must do to remove them (like depressurize the tubes somehow first) and reattach them?  is there anything negative that could come of extending them (llke 2 feet)?  thanks,

eddyet

You can disconnect them no problem just make sure you remeber where they go. If you extend them i wouldn't see no problems but i'd try it before making it final.
