I'm trying to wire 3 relays. once powered they will move an actuator. i want to incorporate 3 different posotive triggers in the car, for instance the + parking lights, + ignition, + brake. when all three things are used, powers the relays to power the actuator. ive been messing with the relays and just cant get them to work in sequence correctly. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

It should be pretty easy - wire the relay coils to each trigger device - all three should be positive - then ground the other side of each coil.

Wire each contact in series.

When all three are active all three relays will turn on and output a signal - that signal can be used to control the actuator.

I have a feeling that what you want to do is a little more complicated then that though, as I can't see why you would ever want to do this....

You can also use an Integrated Circuit AND gate with multiple inputs.

Something Similar to these

Should be able to find one that will operate at 12v as mentioned in the link. Then you can break up your inputs to get the desired output, or have different trigger combinations to trigger a relay / output.

lol im trying to make it complicated. ive built a stash box in a car in place of the passenger airbag and the owner wants to turn on certain things in the car to trigger the actuator. for instance he turns on the left signal, parking lights, and hits the brake, that then triggers the actuator to move. im thinking of just using a magnetic reed switch to make it easier.

well, using parking lights, ignition, and brake wouldn't work for that - every time they stopped at night it would open up.

Try using things that arn't used frequently - like bright lights, defrost switch, and the reverse lights, or something like that.

Anyhow, at that rate if you want to make it easier might as well just hide a push button under the dash somewhere.

Using the AND gate will give you a bit more flexibility. You could run all your available/wanted triggers and then rewire as wanted/needed to change the 'code'. Makes it easier to add or remove the amount of triggers needed to0.
