I installed a viper 5501, no security, just start and keyless entry, in my 03 F-150. This vehicle has two ignition wires, two accessory wires, and only one starter wire. My question is do I need a relay to control the starter input? I don't know how to connect my RED / black starter/acc. input so the starter disengages when the vehicle has started. If anyone knows anything about this any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saying your starter won't disengage?
Suggest you programme tach properly, that's the normal reason for it.
RED / black wire would power your ACC wires.

Programmed the tach, but the RED / black 30 amp fused wire is also the starter input. Purple starter output wire does not receive power until that wire does. I can try reprogramming the tach again, but where is it the RED / black wire should be connected then? To eliminate confusion, the wire referred to is H3/8.

To a constant 12V+, just like your RED / white and red wires.

That is where I started, however as soon as this wire is touched to 12V+ the starter engages and the vehicle cranks. I wonder if there is a problem inside my remote start module? Or maybe you are correct and there is no tach signal? Let me know if there are any thoughts on this.
