audio switcher with relays

I'm planning on using DPDT relays to switch audio signal. Here is what I have: a Cb microphone with a radio that gives me high audio signal and a usual car radio with High audio signal output. My goal is to use relays to decide from where the audio signal will come to after that go to the car speakers. I've check in a normal Bluetooth carkit and I saw they are using 2 amp relays is it enough if I'm not filtering anything? Any wiring or specifik ideas for me ? (just to make sur I know how I will switch on and off the relays my question is about the relays themselves) thanks for your time !!

Radio shack sells a DPDT relay with 10 amp contacts.  2 amp contacts may hold up, but that depends on how loud you listen to the stereo.

It sounds like you need a VOX circuit (Voice Operated Switch; albeit for the OUTPUT of the CB) or something similar that actuated the relay when the CD is "talking". I'd assume you do NOT want the microphone through the speakers unless you have some signal cancelling to prevent mic feedback. (Some VOX circuits have that feature, but some need adjustment that varies with the speaker volume.) A common method is that the CB triggers a (radio/speaker) mute circuit whilst your CB uses its normal or extension (mono) speaker. (That is similar to what is explained above, but without the CB using the radio speakers.) You need to decide on what you want, hence delays etc (eg, radio on whilst speaking?, radio overridden by all CB noise or signals?)

And don't forget that in Europe at least I know for a fact that includes US Chrysler all OEM AND aftermarket h/units have a mute input, find a wire or something on the CB circuit board that goes to ground when the CB activates, incoming and outgoing, keep the CB speaker or as Mr. I states, use one of your fronts and a 4 PCO relay, works every time. All your Parrot etc. Bluetooth kits work on the same principle.
