Car= Honda Odyssey 2007 EX-L
Objective= to add a soft audible confirmation using a piezo buzzer when locking and unlocking with FOB keyless entry.
After a week of figuring out i finally found the appropriate set up for this to work using this diagram constant to momentary -- posted image.
30=parking lights
87A=red wire from piezo buzzer
85=ground black wire from piezo buzzer
86=acc switched power
87=no connection

   The only problem is the beep takes to long,it goes beeeeep instead of just beep.After 3 days of reading online for solutions i found these in one of the online forums.constant to momentary -- posted image. As a newby to installing mod such as these,will these setup or connection help me achieve a short beep? If yes,i need guidance on where should i connect the wire that has a capacitor and resistor.Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.Thank you in advance.

Much simpler than above:-
warning_buzzer.bmp
This will give you 0.8 seconds on lock and unlock.
The (1N4004) diodes are absolutely mandatory unless you want to spend time with fuse changing.
Do a bit more research in the relay section i.e. caps, resistors and you can even extend the time on one or both to differentiate.

i've tried your suggestion and it did shorten the chirp a little bit,but it only chirp once each time when pressing lock or unlock.it would have been better if it chirp twice when pressing unlock,which is what my set up is right now,i just wanted the duration of the chirp shorter.any idea on how to do that?

Try this but there are issues if you have the lights on without ignition the buzzer will sound, I know I can't think when I've left mine on when the car was parked.
The negative side of the buzzer therefore goes to either the ignition or maybe better ACC, this will sit on ground when the ignition is turned off, thus completing the circuit. F58_warning_buzzer.bmp
