remote backup notification switching

Our work trucks have those annoying backup beepers. I would like to be able to wire up a momentary switch to turn off the backup beepers in the quiet neighborhoods when the vehicle is put in reverse. But once the vehicle is put back into drive or park and put back into reverse again the alarm will sound until the momentary switch is pushed again.(I know it would be easy to just put a shut off switch for it but I do not want my employees to keep it off 100% of the time during work hours) I'm assuming it will take a relay and a momentary switch to accomplish this just don't know how to wire it up. Thanks for the reply back. But it looks like on this schematic my guys would have to keep their finger on the switch while they are backing up. I would like the option to just push a momentary switch to turn it off. But once the voltage is off and turned back on by using the stock reversed switch it will start beeping again.

I deleted my reply with circuit - not that they need to hold in the switch as you say, but the "input +12V switch" must be open for the relay to turn off (via the off switch). I wasn;t thinking properly when I replied... And sop other know what we are talking about, I originally replied with my old latching relay circuit below (ie, as used for a water sump/bilge drainer or tank filler) but without the "switch" protecting diodes. It might be possible modify using a capacitor (& SPDT relay?) but I'd prefer a Toggle T-type flip-flop or Reset/Set RS-type flip-flop. But others may have suitable relay circuits until I pen a solution. (HotWaterWizard often supplies great circuits.)
