i hooked up a remote start, and programed it so i would have day time driving lights, but i wanna hook up my fogs to come on when they do, do i just use a simple relay and how exactly would i hook it up? i wouldn't need a resistor would I?

what kind of car is this year and model.did you use the parking light output of remote starter to power the driving lights?

its a 90 cavalier z24, yes, i used the parking light output of the remote start... also, im having trouble finding the a neg. or pos. sorce when the door is open for the alarm...

well you should not need a resistor to do this ,what you have to do is find the wire that switches positive when the fog are turned on, you may find this wire at the switch or at the bulb itself. Now you will need a relay to turn these on heres how to wire it , take a spdt relay(standard relay for this work)now take the wire from the parking light output of the remote starter and put it to pin 86,ground pin 85, now take a wire from pin 87 and go to the battery- fuse it with 10 or 15 amp fuse. Pin 30 on the relay will go to that wire you would have found earlier (the one that switches to 12 volt when the fogs are on) . this should turn the fogs on with the parking lights.
