Hey rbf351,

Not knowing what voltage the LED works at,  we'll have to guess.   If you have a selection of resistors then start with the largest value and work your way down being careful not to exagerate the current.  what resistor with LED -- posted image.

Foward Current 30 Ma

power consumption 80 mW

i have 900 resistors with the following values

  • 1/4w 1 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 15 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 39.2 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 51.1 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 562 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 665 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 909 ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 1.33k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 2.49k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 7.5k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 15k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 12.1k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 4.75k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 33.2k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 28k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 53.6k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape
  • 1/4w 169k ohm 1% - 50 pieces on tape

    resistance=voltage/current
