hey guys im new to all this im doing the radio stays on till the door is open, here is my question,  i have everything hooked up like it shows in the diagram, but everything still powers down when i turn off the igition, unless the door is open then everything stays on till i shut the door. help please

What did you tie into for the door trigger?

i tapped the the yellow/black trigger wire to the 85 pin like it shows in the diagram.

Try this, latch the door so the car thinks that the door is closed. Then test the door trigger wire when you turn the ignition off, if it pulses a ground then it would turn the relay off. The other thing it could be is you tied into a bad power wire for constant or tied into the wrong wire for turning the radio on. Just tossing out some suggestions. It could also be possible that you have the wrong type of relay.

are you sure you didn't mix up any 87s with 87a's? That might be it.
