I have just installed an Arctic Start Controller into my 1998 Chev full size pickup.  The  remote starter works perfectly..  The truck came with the factory keyless entry system, which has driver door priority ( ie; one push = drivers door; second push = passenger door).  I believe that the doorlocks are Positive pulse.  The remote starter has two negative trigger lines for unlock which will allow for the remote starter keyfob to work the same as the factory one.  I would assume that the drivers door actuator is already isolated to allow the factory keyless system to open just the drivers door first.  How and where can I hook up the negative feed triggers from the remote starter to duplicate the factory remote ?  I don't want to carry two key fobs around with me if I can get the Remote Starter keyfob  to do everything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Right above the gas pedal, there is a black box with 6 wires in it, find and test the light blue, and white. that will be your lock and unlock, but they will be positive.  the drivers motor wires will also be in there, they will be grey and tan and they will be reverse polarity, but you will need a drivers door unlock piority wire coming from your keyless module. for your lock and unlock just use this sites relay section and find the relay that changes negative(your keyless) to positive( your doorlocks)

I have two wires coming from the module.  The first one is just for generic unlock, and is activated by pushing the button on the remote.  It also has a second wire that is describeds as 2nd Pulse unlock output.  This is activated with a second push of the unlock button.  Both wires (-)

I think I understand this relay thing, but could one of you experienced folks help me out with hooking up these two wires to the wiring harness that actionjackson has described ?

Thanks for your help actionjackson.

I think I finally have a grasp of what I am trying to do.  Thanks to everyone here who has provided info on relays etc.  It is most helpful.  I believe this would work

Factory Keyless with Remote Start -- posted image.

Is this what I want to do to get the door lock working right ?  If so my next question is for anyone that can give me the location and the wire color for the signal wire for the drivers door of a 1998 GMC pickup.  It has to have one as I have already indicated the factory keyless entry system is able to activate the drivers door only.

Thanks again.
