My alarm doesnt have a long enough ground signal to power a horn for confirmation chirps. is it possible to do this with relays?

Your alarm has a horn output? Does the manual say you need a relay to power the horn? If not then just extend the wire. If you need to use a relay than you can. Make sure you observe polarity. Have a look at the relay page.

not sure if i confused you. but what i mean is that the signal from the alarm isnt strong or long enough? to power the horn at full blast. So instead of "honk!" its like.. "tinng".

Ahh Yes I misunderstood your post. Ya it sounds like you don't have the juice to chirp the horn. If you have a digital meter you could measure just how much voltage is coming to the horn. To answer your question Yes, you can do it with a relay. The links I gave should help you.
