I bought some lights that only have a positive and a negative. i want them to get power or be grounded when the car shuts off. how would i wire a relay to do this. the lights flash and i want them be used a a visual theft deterrant

well if you want to do that you are going to drain the battery because are going to be on but thas is how can you do it

30 goes to the positive side of the lights

87 and 86 to 12v fused

85 goes to ignition

 ground the other side of the lights

just remember the lights are going to be on until you turn on the car again

how own your mind, control your life.
MECP certified. always use a DMM

thanks but i already figured it out. i had it right but i had the wire from 12constant and the wire from the ignition reversed

The light are only using 200ma so the battery should be fine
