I bought a new 5 wire type power window system for my 62 impala, I want to use the old style (NOS) switchs. I found a problem, the old switchs have a 12 v power wire, up wire, and a down wire. 3 wires while the pwr window setup uses 5 wires. Someone told me to use two relays to make them work on the system. Any ideas on what relay setup to use? Appreciate it

hi,

use this......https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp

scroll down to actuators/ reverse polarity.

leads of motors go to terminals 30 labelled actuator.  connect terminals 87a and 85 of each relay to chassis ground.  terminals 86 of each relay go to the up and down (not common) terminal of your window switches.  terminals 87 can be connected to same as power lead going into your switch.

hope this helps
