I dont know if this is the right place so i am gonna go ahead.. I wasnted to ge a circut to read the pulses in a cars electrical system.. from any dc out let ie the ligher and from this determine the spm..

an ideas....

or a pointer in the right direction..what to look for ?

I don't think you are going to find it at just any outlet. What you are looking for is the tach signal. Use the Vehicle Info Database to find the wire
