1999 Tacoma Remote Start Problems

I decided it was time for a remote start, so I got one and did the install myself.  Now here comes the problems.  I never found the actual wiring diagram for a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, but I did find one for a 2000.  I assume that the wiring colors are the same because when I did check them , they appeared to have the same applications as what I was looking for.  When I got everything hooked up and plugged them into the brain for the remote start, it automatically began trying to start my truck.  When It did succeed, the starter did not disengage.  Thus making a lovely sound in my starter (this cant be good)  So I unhooked it and traced everything out.  As far as I can tell I did everything right, but still have same problem.  Anyone familiar with this application?  It is an Omega RS-3A add on remote start.  I had a previous alarm Carbine 4500Plus already installed and have had no problems with it thus far.  Thanks to anyone that can help.

Your ground is good?  Sorry I can't be of more help but I am not familiar with that remote start.  Double check and triple check all your connections.  Is it turning the ignition circuits on as well or just the starter?

I have it grounded the same place as my alarm, It is showing a good ground, but I think I am going to move it just to be sure.  It is turning everything on.  The truck fully cranks, and the starter just keeps spinning.

Does the system require that you have the fuse out of the main power line and then you need to press the brake while inserting the fuse into the power line ? Make sure that you are using the proper setup procedures and also, did you set up a tach wire on this ?

I am unaware of anthing about pressing brake when puttin in the fuse, I will try that.  I do know that if you press thebrake when you plug it in, it doesnt turn off the remote start.  As for the tach wire, I assume I caught the right one.  There is a small box that is mounted on the pass fender by the airbox.  It connects to the maf sensor and into the engine somewhere.  I cought a black wire on it that shows the correct amperage according to the instructions.  For the second ignition, can someone give me a run down of what hooks up where so I can be sure I am doing it right?

i am not familiar with that remote start model but most require that once you have hooked up the tach wire that you program your RS to "learn" that tach signal and thus it will shut off the starter wire once it "sees" tach....also, it could be that you have hooked up an accessory wire to the starter wire, and thats why it would keep cranking, starter wire only needs 12v to start the vehicle, and the tach signal shuts down the output on this wire

I think my problem is more complicated than I first thought.  When I got home from work today I got out the install book and my ohmmeter.  Everything checked out right.  Then I started disconnecting wires to determine why it tried to start as soon as I plugged the fuses in.  I narrowed it down to 2 wires.  I started out by grounding the unit.  Then the 2 power wires came next.  I hooked them up to (white in my case) the 12V wire at the ignition.  "Click"  As soon as I hooked them up and put in the fuse, the ignition wire is hot.  This is where my problem lies.  Anyone have a clue?  Is it a manufacturers defect?  Or is there something that I dont understand?  I made sure my ground was good and it was.  Should I hook the 12V (main power) wires to something other than where it is?  One is for accessory and one is main.  I have them both hooked to the same place.  Any help is appreciated.

the acc wire gos to the the acc wire in the car it turns on the heater

So you are saying that I should not hook both of the power wires up to the 12V power lead?  I have an accessory wire (yellow) that is supposed to turn the radio and heater and stuff on.
