actuating a trunk using relays.

Okay, so this is what I have.  I have a trunk that has a mechanism that pulls the trunk down after it is latched.  I am using a linear actuator that will pull and push the trunk open and close about 2 inches, then I have a 35lb solenoid that will release the trunk from the latch.  I need to know how to wire this setup using a switch that will permit the actuator to push the trunk open a few inches, then a few seconds later energize the 35lb solenoid to release the latch so I can open the trunk by hand.  Then when I close the trunk by hand just to where it will latch, the actuator will energize pulling the trunk completely closed.  I was thinking maybe a pinswitch would work when I latch the truck to energize the actuator.  How do I wire this up?  A diagram would be awsome!  Any help would be awsome!Thanks,

If I understand correctly, you have a trunk pull-down/release from a 98 Caddy or similar vehicle, but you don't have the BCM which controls the latter, is that so?Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Yes its a 63 caddy that originaly had the vacume suck down system, but do to the stereo system design, and not to mention the original vacume system no longer works, I decided to go another route.Thanks,
