do i use a relay for my amp?

if i want to controll my amp thru a switch (lil ones from dei remote start) can i hook it up direct or should i use a relay. and how would i wire up the relay?

if u want to use a relay take

pin 85 to switch with fused 12 v

pin 86 to ground

pin 87 to 12 v fused

pin 87a empty

pin 30 out to amp

Installers will put it anywhere!

Why not just splice a switch into the remote turn on lead?
