2001 Dodge Diesel. I have a high idle box that turns on via a toggle and is adjustable.  I also have a DEI 561R with remote start.  What I want to do is turn on the high idle box with the aux button of the remote.  I built a pulse to constant.  It should take the output from the DEI and turn my box on then turn it off when I push the button again.  I think what is happening is the pulse is actually a momentary that is long enough to cause the relays to switch on/off/on.  When I hit the button, the high idle box comes on.  When I hit the button again, it shuts of for a fraction of a second and comes back on.

Anybody have any ideas or diagrams to get this to work?

I don't believe you can the pulse to constant will 'toggle' like you want it to.  I believe each time it recieves a pulse it outputs a constant signal.

Most DEI products have programmable outputs, but I don't know about the 561R.  You may want to check out the book and see if you can turn the AUX output in to a toggle output instead of a pulse output.  The other alternative would be to use a couple relays and create an on/off toggle system.  I've seen a digram or two around here showing how to do it.

The 561R is too basic and doesn't have the possibility to change from pulse to latch. Build a latching circuit using two relays to activate the "box".
Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

I got it to work.  Took 4 relays and 2 diodes.  But now I can engage the high idle box with the aux output of the remote.
